About Crescent School of Gaming & Bartending

Since 1983, Crescent has been family-owned. More than thirty years later, Crescent School of Gaming and Bartending has grown into the largest, most comprehensive bartending and gaming school in the United States.

In 1992, the owners of Crescent had the foresight to see the rapid growth of the hospitality and gaming industries. They added courses for table games dealers to the School's leading-edge bartending curriculum. They also expanded outside of the state of Louisiana, adding a new Crescent campus in Gulfport, Mississippi.

The mission of Crescent Schools is to provide willing individuals with the technical knowledge and practical experience necessary to succeed and excel in rewarding positions in the hospitality industry. Our business strives to instill four qualities in our students: Competence, Confidence, Proficiency, and Professional Attitude. These qualities will enable each student to grow professionally and personally. Our aim of producing the most qualified individuals creates a wealth of reliable, capable personnel and provides the industry with a competitive edge.

We're accredited by ACCET (the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training). That means Crescent is required to maintain a high placement level for the bartenders and casino dealers who graduate and are certified at all of our four locations across the United States. And, we do. We take pride in helping Crescent students find the perfect fit upon graduation. Crescent has served thousands of students since we opened in 1983. Due to our long-term, strong connections in the industry, Crescent students often get hired or get auditions even before certification.

In 2016, Nevada, of course, was number one in gaming revenue (commercial and tribal) in the United States, followed by #2 Pennsylvania, #3 Louisiana, #4 New Jersey, and #5 Mississippi. Indiana, New York, Illinois, Missouri, and Ohio round out the top ten. These are also strong markets for bartending jobs.
